Raider Friday had the incredible honor of welcoming former NFL quarterback and Super Bowl Champion Jay Schroeder to Arturo Cambeiro Elementary School — and with him, a powerful message of unity, pride, and Raider spirit.

Jay was our first-ever Raider Friday speaker, setting the tone for everything this movement represents. With his calm presence, inspiring words, and deep love for the Silver & Black, Jay welcomed over 600 students into Raider Nation — not just as fans, but as part of a larger family built on inclusion, respect, and community pride.

His message wasn’t just about football. It was about believing in yourself, standing together, and being proud of who you are and where you come from. That message resonated throughout the school and the neighborhood, leaving a lasting impact that still echoes today.

Jay Schroeder embodies what it means to be a Raider — commitment, strength, and heart. We’re grateful for his support, and Arturo Cambeiro Elementary will always be remembered as the place where Raider Friday truly began.

This visit reminded us of why Raider Friday exists: to bring people together, lift our youth, and show that we are stronger as one.
